The next carving is going to be another bowl. This time the wood comes from the large chuck of Walnut that a neighbour gave to me after their tree blew down during a storm
The piece was about a metre in diameter with about 600mm of it being heartwood.
After a couple of hours with the chainsaw I ended up with three large pieces including this one, which is roughly 250mm cube.
