I was given a large piece of walnut from a tree that blew down in a neighbours garden. This bowl is turned from a small piece left over from other projects. It turned out to have a wonderful grain.
Having turned the bowl it seemed to be lacking something. I don't know where the idea of adding an image of the Sycamore Gap tree came from but I'm really pleased with the result.
